NSIP Recognized Intimacy Professionals

[PDF Application and information BECOME RECOGNISED]

NSIP-Recognised Intimacy Professionals are individuals acknowledged for their experience and training in the field of intimacy. They have agreed to follow national standards and uphold NSIP’s code of conduct, ethics, and best practices for intimacy and Intimacy Professionals.

This program recognises the value of training new skills, regardless of where and those qualifications and skills were acquired.

These individuals may have

  • demonstrated years of experience and a positive contribution to the intimacy field,
  • attended training programs with NSIP or other intimacy organisations while working in the field, and/or
  • acquired certification through another intimacy organisation.

Recognized IPs have gone through a vetting process, including reviewing their body of work and references.

Learn Together, Work Together, Change Together

Are you a working intimacy professional?

NSIP wants to build a community of intimacy professionals who, together, can advocate within the performing arts sector for more visibility and more significant resources.

NSIP acknowledges that there are independent intimacy professionals who already have many years of experience and training behind them.

The process to become NSIP-Recognised is currently in development but will include:

  • vetting by the Membership review  committee (MRC) of the applicant’s resume, training, experience, a body of work, and at least two (2) letters of reference
  • the recognised IP will be required to sign and uphold NSIP: National Standards including our code of conduct, ethics, and best practices for intimacy and intimacy professionals.

If you have any questions about this process or the application, don’t hesitate to reach out to us here.
