NSIP Certification – In Process
The National Society of Intimacy Professionals (NSIP) is currently pilot-testing the intimacy professional certification program and is not yet receiving applications. However, please see the Training page for access to certification-applicable training modules. Once the curriculum is published, any workshops taken that have met the requirement will be counted. Our goal is to establish a certification process that sets and upholds national standards for intimacy practices and intimacy professionals in live and recorded media. This training will be open to all interested individuals, whether they have established Intimacy practices or are seeking to begin training and gaining experience in intimacy work.
Are you already certified elsewhere? If you wish to be additionally certified through NSIP, we may be able to fast-track this process based on your training and body of work. Please reach out to us through our contact form.
Our Commitment to our Community
We commit to incorporating the following values into the certification process:
- NSIP will outline what specific training and experience is and what is not recognised as relevant to certification
- NSIP will clearly outline and define how to become certified for both emerging and experienced IPs
- NSIP will maintain a public list of current certified IPs in good standing
- NSIP commits to building a community of IPs through work that is anti-racist, anti-colonial, and anti-oppressive
- NSIP will adhere to a code of conduct
- NSIP will establish specific supports to enable equity-seeking folx access to training and certification processes
